New Orleans Saints defensive end Bobby McCray has been arrested and charged with DWI, according to local police.
According to police spokesperson Gary Flot, McCray was pulled over by a police office for speeding at around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning. He was booked on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding, careless operation of a motor vehicle and not having his vehicle registration with him.
McCray did not resist arrest, according to Flot.
The New Orleans Saints are reportedly aware of the situation and will let the legal system run its course.
McCray’s lawyer, Donald Foret, says he plans to speak with McCray later on Tuesday. He did not comment further on the matter.
