Rory McIlroy has won his first PGA Tour event.
The Irish 20-year-old knocked in a 40-foot birdie on the last hole on Sunday to set the course record with a 10-under 62 and win the 2010 Quail Hollow Championship.
McIlroy, who turns 21 on Tuesday, becomes the youngest PGA Tour winner since Tiger Woods back in 1996.
The finish was spectacular. McIlroy played his last five holes in 5 under, including a 5-iron to 3 feet for eagle on the 15th hole that gave him the lead for good.
It was the second victory of his young career, and his first in the U.S.A.
