Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kendrick Perkins has been arrested and slapped with charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and public intoxication after an altercation early Saturday morning in South Texas.
Police say that they a crowd gathered outside The Ticket night club just after 2 a.m., local time, and received complaints of brawls and pepper spray being used inside.
Perkins was reportedly trying to fight the club’s manager. According to the official police statement, the crowd then shoved Kendrick Perkins out the back door of the establishment, but he continued shouting obscenities and started some other fights.
Perkins was arrested and booked into Jefferson County jail. He was later released on $150 bond.
Thad Foucher, Perkins’ agent, has not yet commented on the arrest.
The Thunder forward was in the small town hosting a camp that raises money for his foundation, which aims to assist kids in learning life skills and promotes drug awareness.
