Joel Ward slammed home a rebound at the 2:57 mark of overtime to give the Washington Capitals a 2-1 victory win over the Boston Bruins as the Caps moved to the second round of the playoffs.
For the Bruins, the defending Stanley Cup champions had their hopes of a repeat shattered.
